What a productive and great afternoon at our zigzag office in Stuttgart! Yesterday, we hosted the 5th Ideenzirkel event, organized by the Wirtschaftsförderung Stuttgart (WRS). This format regularly brings together regional CEOs, executives, and idea managers to discuss practical ways to boost innovation, focusing on key areas like the role of ideas in business, finding the right ecosystem partners, and using AI as a practical driver for innovation. We started with two presentations that led directly into an engaging discussion: • Our colleagues, Dr. Andreas Haas and Dennis Knopf, shared insights from our 13-year roadmap for digital innovation. They explained how to balance user needs, business goals, and technology while building a strong culture of psychological safety and cross-functional excellence • Prof. Dr. Katharina Hölzle (Institute Director of the IAT at the University of Stuttgart & Managing Institute Director of Fraunhofer IAO) gave us a clear view: AI is not just taking jobs, but also creating many new chances for innovation within companies (intrapreneurship) After the talks, we had an interactive workshop, where groups worked together on ideas and challenges. One clear message came out: "We need to encourage employees to allow new ideas, or we will lose important momentum."
